"Dates are important parts of our lives and Sunday, November 6th, 2016 is a date that I have been dreaming about for a very long time. I am inviting you to join me as I attempt to bridge Pittsburgh past and present and perform the very dangerous upside-down straight jacket escape high above the streets of Pittsburgh.
On November 6th, 1916, Harry Houdini performed this very dangerous stunt himself at the corner of Liberty Avenue & Wood Street in downtown Pittsburgh and now 100 years to the day I plan to recreate it at the very same location! The photo below was actually taken as Houdini himself was hanging upside down above thousands of Pittsburghers on their Monday afternoon lunch breaks."

On the afternoon of November 6, 1916 Harry Houdini performed his world famous upside down straight jacket escape high above the streets of Pittsburgh while thousands watched in awe. Harry was in town to perform a run of shows at the New Davis Theater. Before his first performance, he wanted to make the cover of all the next morning papers.

On November 6, 1916, Harry Houdini performed his death defying upside-down straight jacket escape while hanging at the corner of Wood Street & Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. I will be recreating this moment in time 100 years to the day and in the exact same location.
Sunday, November 6th, 2016. The streets will open to spectators at 10:30am with DJ Scottro providing the entertainment
There will be lots of special guests and a few surprises before I am strapped into the straight jacket at 12:00pm (noon).
The stunt will take place in the exact same location as Houdini's fete 100 years ago: at the corner of Wood Street & Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Houdini 100 is a FREE EVENT FOR ALL TO ATTEND. You do NOT need to purchase tickets to the stunt!
Liberty Avenue will be shut down for several blocks to make room for spectators. Plan to arrive early to secure your spot in the streets. There will be no access to Wood Street between Liberty and 6th.
We will have a Facebook Live stream up and running around 11:45 that morning. Be sure to give my Facebook page a LIKE so you be alerted when the stream begins! They sure do! If all goes to plan, the stunt will be concluded before 12:30pm. There will be an after party at Ten Penny beginning at 1:00PM, just in time for kickoff! Tickets can be purchased in advance online. A limited number will be available at the door.
The EQT 10 Miler race will be taking place downtown that same morning. Please plan ahead for detours and allow yourself extra time to find parking.
